Top 5 iOS Social Networking Apps in Hungary: Q3 2022 Performance

In the third quarter of 2022, the top social networking apps on iOS in Hungary showcased varying performance trends. Here’s a closer look at their weekly downloads, revenue, and active users, based on data from Sensor Tower.

BeReal: Photos & Friends Daily saw a remarkable increase in weekly downloads, starting from around 1.6K at the end of June and peaking at approximately 17.6K in mid-September. Active users followed a similar upward trend, rising from about 14.9K to over 73K by the end of the quarter.

Messenger maintained a steady download rate throughout Q3, with weekly downloads fluctuating around 4.5K to 4.9K. Active users showed growth, starting at roughly 650K and reaching over 715K by mid-September, before slightly decreasing to around 684K by the end of the quarter.

Facebook experienced consistent weekly downloads, hovering between 3.8K and 4.6K. Revenue peaked at $960 in early August but generally remained between $363 and $871 throughout the quarter. Active users remained stable, averaging around 1.29M, with a slight increase to approximately 1.31M by the end of September.

Rakuten Viber Messenger had steady weekly downloads, ranging from about 2.4K to 3.1K. Revenue fluctuated, with peaks up to $546 and lows around $384. Active users showed a slight decline from 500K in early July to approximately 467K by the end of September.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained consistent weekly downloads, ranging from 2.3K to 3K. Active users increased from around 365K at the end of June to a peak of about 490K in early August, before stabilizing around 382K by the end of the quarter.
